Whether she writes poetry or prose, short stories or articles on a great variety of subjects, Inge Perreault shows great diversity in her work. Honesty, compassion yet also a keen sense of humor are reflected in her writing and stress her passion for the relevant topics close to her heart.
Aside from writing articles for numerous magazines and newspapers nationwide she also was a regular contributor to Kina-Magazine, a bilingual publication for parents/teachers assisting their efforts to raise children able to converse in both languages. The topics of her publications reach from travel articles to social commentaries, nature stories to educational material on a very broad spectrum.
Inge Perreault and her husband, a free-lance photographer, moved to the Azores in 2006 after living on a small island off the South Coast of Massachusetts. Sao Miguel has become their new home where they intend to spend the rest of their lives.

Her first book, "DUCK SOUP - Vignettes of Country Life " consists of a collection of published short-stories describing her years of life in New Jersey while raising her two sons and running the business of SOLARWORKS INC., a small custom building company she founded focusing on the construction of energy efficient passive solar homes over a period of 20 years.

" BIRTH OF A TUMBLEWEED" Memoirs of Growing-Up in Post-Nazi Germany takes a look back at the history of her generation born during or immediately after WWII where she talks openly about their very difficult and unique experiences. It is time to throw off the burden of guilt for the Holocaust that has resulted in marginalizing and vilifying her personally due to her German roots to this present day, even  though she herself lost many relatives in Auschwitz.
Her message that civilians in any war anywhere in the world regardless of race, color or religion suffer terribly should be most relevant and urgent at the present time. These are human beings, not merely to be considered "collateral damage."

Her book "FOR WOMEN ONLY - THE 50 PLUS ROLLER COASTER" is a collection of short-stories. Poignant, touching and with humor the book describes experiences this generation of women, living in a youth-oriented society, is being confronted with in a much different manner than their mothers were. The author is likewise an outspoken advocate for equal rights for women since the early 1970s.

Her fourth book "THE SNOW STALKER" has just been released in November 2011 and can be ordered at www. Blurb.com or via e-mail signed by the author herself. This is a thriller combining fact and fiction that will keep the reader glued to the pages. We are taken back to the years of the Vietnam War and My Lai, dealing with the results of post-traumatic stress that likewise today is being experienced in many countries world-wide and was in Germany after WWII. The consequences of this facet of war has been greatly underestimated and can lead to actions nobody could have foreseen. Actually they are actions carried out by the victims of post-traumatic stress syndrome which are a cry for justice expressing themselves in revenge. It will engage the reader and cause him/her to ponder the insanity of war - the author clearly advocates peaceful conflict resolution that unfortunately is a dream, given the nature of the human being and shown clearly by history. .

A staunch environmentalist Ms. Perreault founded the Massachusetts South Coast Chapter of CLEAN POWER NOW in 2004 and was voted Earth Mother in the City of New Bedford in 2005 on the occasion of the annual Earth Day Celebration. After a life that spanned 4 very different careers her move to the Azores was part of her continuing quest and interest in different cultures and linguistic abilities her TUMBLEWEED nature has pursued all of her life.
Inge Perreault teaches pro-bono conversational English at the Ponta Delgada Library, visits high-schools assisting English teachers and conducts power-point presentations.
The Azorean Government has honored Inge and Roland Perreault in 2010 by using her words in combination with his photography for their annual bilingual Natal Flash-Card that was sent to all Portuguese Embassies, Consulates and business contacts.
